After having several very nice comments deleted on the Blizzard forums, I decided to put something up here, the official community forums, so that your friends could drop you their notes of condolences without interference. I happen to know that the moderators here actually have sense enough to filter genuine bull shit, and not "anything that was reported."
As I said before, hopefully you can heal enough to keep going through life with time. Until then, I'm hoping you have someone to carry you through it.
Ysera is always here if you should need anything.

I saw the original post on the forums and it is a sad thing indeed that the moderators cannot filter the idiots from genuine sympathy. It's a shame that they cannot take even a moment to differentiate the two.
As a parent of two young boys, one not much older and one born just recently I cannot fathom the difficulty of what he is going through. I haven't played in some time and did not know him, but offer my sincerest condolences and thoughts in this dark time.

On a lighter note, congratulations Wendell on the recent arrival.

Seconded. I read every response to the original thread and just couldn't come up with anything to say, but I found its deletion to be offensive to the community.
And on another note: fuck Blizzard's forum moderators.

Thank you.
I saw probably 8 or 9 of the responses before the thread got deleted, and I saw the follow up threads as well. I agree that it's pretty effed that Blizz deleted the post, but I respect their right to run their forums as they see fit. The reason I posted was to let the general community of my friends know why I a) wouldn't be around, and b) probably wouldn't be very sunshine-y when I was around.
The pain of a mother losing her son is virtually unbearable, but the kind words posted from people who've never even met me meant the world to me. I logged in several times over the first couple of days, and those supportive words helped to fuel me through some very dark moments. If for no other reason, I thank you for that. :)
A friend told me tonight that a thread had been started here, and I was touched that you would take time out to comfort me in whichever way you could. It stands the mark of a tall man who offers whatever he can when there aren't any words that can make it all better.
Go hug your babies. :)

Edit for the uneditable:
And to the guy who inquired about the loot table when my son passed:
He left behind more love than a single heart could hold, more tears than two eyes could cry, and a ray of sunshine on the world that could warm even the coldest of souls. May you one day know that amount of love and warmth in your life, I'm blessed because that's something no one can take from me.
