The license key is randomzied garbage (upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, etc).

To be fair though, the WHO (World health Organization) has stated that it will be nearly impossible to control the pandemic. Problem is the incubation period before anyone shows symptoms is ~2 weeks, which is ample time to spread it to immediate family members and close personal contacts (work, neighborhood, etc).

What we really don't want happening is for the virus to mutate again while in this stage. This is made worse by the fact that the carrier(pigs) are the perfect in vivo incubation medium for that to happen. Pigs are carriers of both the avian and human type of the virus. This makes it easier for the viruses to exchange genetic info and mutate into a novel virus which no human has defenses against.

I'm working at an internship with a place that acts as an ISP to various smaller communities (1000-15,000 people on average).

One community, a little reserve of ~1500 people up north, can only recieve their connection via satellite, because it would cost over $10million to get any land line broadband in there.
As such, the bit rate is really low, they're spending a mint to get just 2mb (bit, not byte) up/down. Obviously, this means torrenting and gaming is near impossible.

However, we had several people from there complaining all weekend that the internet has been shitty, and we tracked the usage down to massive spikes coming from one access point, the school. Turns out some dumbshit kids left Bittorrent running all god damned weekend, with an average up/down of ~1.8 of the entire communities 2.0mb bandwidth.

Thing is, even after we shut that down and explained this to them, they have been crying non-stop since then that they deserve more bandwidth for free because of it, and they should be able to do whatever they want.
On top of this, the retarded kids got a good number of viruses onto the completely unsecured network in that school, and they want us to fix it for them, because apparently that's our job too, and obviously not the IT guy that the community employs.

Whenever I step away from my machine, I lock it. Handily, I'm also an admin on our network here. Only two other people on the network have access high enough to get into my machine on their own.

One time, a few years ago, one of the support guys (who no longer works here) got into a prank war with another of the support guys. Most of what they did was pretty dumb, maybe rating at Carrot Top on the humor-meter. I made some comment about juvenile morons and he threatened to start playing pranks on me.

I told him if he really wanted to try and bring me into his little prank war, I wouldn't prank; instead, I would introduce him to the concept of scorched earth. He didn't understand what I was saying, so I outlined a few things I, as a network admin, could do to his computer and his network/database access, which affects his work output, and consequently his job performance (I didn't start into the other ideas I had about rainbow spray paint on his car (he was seriously phobic about gays)). He dropped the idea pretty quickly.

What kind of router do you have? What's your setup like? modem -->router---->main pc
with the router's wifi connect to the laptop? When you ipconfig/all what is the return if you enable DHCP? If you ping 127.0.0.1, what's the return?
You might need to do a full reset of the router if it's not serving wifi with ip addresses. The flash on the board might have got borked. When is the last time you did a firmware update? I'd recommend doing that after a clean reset and before you setup your static routes.

I log it onto their AD Domain and the son of a bitch has a Group Policy no one knows about that automatically installs AV software on any machine connected....

When I was in high school - I went to a school in Florida for a short time.
Crystal River High School.

Crystal River is right next to a nuclear power plant.
The school makes you sign a release form saying you will not blame or sue them should you die / get fucked up while at the school if the power plant gets destroyed or melts down, etc.

Some parents don't seem to understand the fact that their kid isn't a perfect angel. the kits usually have a pressure guage that even tells you right on the guage where undercharged, full, and overcharged lie. Usually it's somewhere in the 45 psi range for full.

It depends on how it is implemented. If it is just a matchmaking service that does authentication then it sets up a direct connection it will have little effect (except for the pirate/asshats that cheat crowd, for which I have no sympathy). If they plan to host it then LAN parties will be a train wreck as it would require a gigantic connection.

Only players with no or broken Internet access that wish to play locally would be broken. And that's not very common these days.

We still think the 3 vs. 3 and 5 vs. 5 brackets will ultimately offer the best play experience, especially for very competitive gamers for whom game class balance issues are most noticeable. However, we recognize that many players just prefer to play in the 2 vs. 2 bracket and will miss the chance to earn the current season's gear. Therefore, we are going to still allow the 2 vs. 2 bracket to grant access to the current season of gear with three important exceptions: the current season's weapons will not be available for purchase, the current season’s shoulder armor will not be available for purchase, and players will not qualify for the Gladiator title/rewards unless you earn the appropriate rating in the 3 vs. 3 or 5 vs. 5 bracket.
